About
Secure Gunz Security was established as a company in 2009, founded by local Casper, WY residents Larry Wilson and Dennis Duncan. Professionalism is required, where the goal is to prevent altercations before problems materialize. Individually and as a unit, our objective is to assess all situations, complete all assigned tasks, and neutralize any potential issues or threats within the confines of all local and state laws.
DENNIS
I began my career in security working part-time as a bouncer at the Bronco's Bar in 1993. Since then I have done security for numerous venues including but not limited to: Club Dance West, Wednesday Night Fights, and Cowboy's Saloon.
I worked for the Casper Events Center from 1998 thru 2010. I was quickly promoted to Security Captain and also served as Supervisor for special events such as State High School Wrestling and Basketball tournaments, Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo, and Bear Trap Music Festival.
Since the induction of Secure Gunz Security, I have had the privilege of working security for small events like guarding models for bridal shows, private parties, and school reunions; and large shows including Dylan Scott, Nine Inch Nails, Bear Trap Music Festival, and Tribute to the American Cowboy Rodeo.
So no matter the size of the event, I am eager to say your event is "Protected by Secure Gunz Security!"
LARRY
My initial introduction to security and crowd management came about in 1994 while I was in college playing football. A few of us players were asked to assist with crowd control for a heavy metal concert. What started as a mediocre mosh pit developed into an all-out brawl. We immediately engaged to disperse the crowd. It ended with my teammates and me standing alone, staring each other in the face, looking for the next fight in an area that was total chaos 2 minutes prior. What crossed my mind? All I could think of was 'Bring it on. I want more', which jump started me to where I am today.
My duties since then have included personal security escorts, crowd management for private and public venues, ground surveillance, asset protection, retail store surveillance, self-defense training, verbal and nonverbal de-escalation techniques training, and more.
In addition to Secure Gunz Security, since the year 2000, I have been employed as security staff for the Casper Events Center. It was there that I met my business partner, Dennis. I have served as a Security Captain for the Events Center, and currently serve as a 'Security Lead' for different events.
We enjoy providing a safe and secure atmosphere for our clients and their guests!
